You can process a return if the item is Paid, Shipped or Completed. NOTE: Processing a return within AuctionSound does not return funds to the buyer. AuctionSound only updates your reporting page. You will still have to process the return through PayPal or Merchant Account.

To start the return process, go to View Item (from where ever the item is - Paid, Shipped, Completed). Then go to Select an Action and click Process Return. You will want to process a return if you need to either generate a check to the consignor for a lesser amount or not generate a check at all. If a carrier lost a package but you are still generating a check to your consignor, you do not want to process a return here. Only process the return to the buyer for the amount paid.

While you are in the Return section, you can either return the full amount or a partial amount. If you want the item to stay where it is (ie. Shipped so you can cut a check) then you want to uncheck the "Status will be changed to Unsold". If the item is being returned to the store and you wish to either relist it or return it to the consignor, you want this box to be checked.
